After all, who doesn't pray in secret? As Camille is a singer, she uses the language of her voice to sing you religious songs hailing from all different traditions. Timeless songs, both sacred and pagan...

"In May 2005, I gave a concert in Jerusalem. Walking around, talking with locals, I was saddened that this city, which could be a center for dialogue, has been completely overtaken by fundamentalism and war. As an atheist raised in a secular country, I have a hard time understanding religious conflicts. But each and every religion carries a message of peace and freedom. And all religions sing! I wanted to learn traditional songs from around the world to sing them in my own way, a capella. I quickly removed myself from the religious aspect of these songs to focus purely on how they sound. From ethereal Gregorian chants that reach the heavens to Zambian ritual chants rooted in the soil and the sound of the Shinto flute, as light as the wind, this is a journey through the elements. A journey that tells the story of the world".
Camille

"GOD IS SOUND" was previously performed in 2007 in the Eglise Saint-Eustache (Paris), and in Cannes, Thule, Montpellier and Nyon.
